Consultant: Clayton Beer

Clayton BeerClayton is an experienced management consultant and project manager, based in New York City, with more than 10 years of experience working with clients across the private, public, and NGO sectors.   Since 2010, Clayton’s work has focused exclusively on international development, environmental and humanitarian sector clients.

Clayton previously worked as a Manager at Accenture between 2007 and 2012, giving him a foundation in the corporate consulting firm’s methodologies and problem-solving approach. During 2010 and 2011 he was selected to work in the Accenture Development Partnerships (ADP) initiative where he provided management consulting services to Greenpeace International in The Netherlands and Catholic Relief Services in the Southern Africa Region, gaining experience in helping management teams of INGOs analyse and solve organisational challenges through strategic financial resource allocation and operating model enhancements. 

After completing a Master’s degree in International Relations at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University in 2012, Clayton become an in-house consultant at Greenpeace as the organisation was in the early stage of a multi-year transformational change initiative.  Since January 2015, Clayton has worked as part of Sandstone Consulting on multiple assignments for clients including Greenpeace International, UK DFID, International Budget Partnerships, and The Sphere Project.

Clayton has significant experience in financial management and organizational design and he is adept at synthesizing and presenting information to support management decision-making. Clayton has a deep technical knowledge of organisational operations and has significant experiencing in conducting interviews and leading survey initiatives.  He has lived and worked in Europe and Africa.
